Why you need Mailchimp

The past few years of social media development have focused business owner’s attention toward the endless task of creating and sharing content.

Maintaining your social media accounts is a full-time job. The amount of effort that goes into creating a single post can seem a little crazy. Well, it’s crazy if you don’t make the most of that one post!

Say you’re a fashion brand and you’ve started to create your own content. Good for you, because original content sells product. But after the 2 hour photoshoot, and team of people you hired, surely you weren’t going to stop at sharing the content on Instagram alone?

Why not share the love across all your online platforms? And no, I don’t just mean linking your Instagram account to facebook. We’re talking email marketing (yes, again because it’s important).

If you don’t already have an e-newsletter you need to get one. Do it now.

Visit Mailchimp by clicking here.

Then simply sign up your email and create a password. Takes about 5 seconds. If you have your customer’s emails, you’ve already won half the battle. You can load them all in one hit, straight to Mailchimp.

E-newsletters are a necessity to any industry and here’s why.

There are 3.9 billion daily email users. This number is expected to climb to 4.3 billion by 2023. (Statista, 2020).

Currently there are just over 1 billion Instagram users.

According to a study by Emarsys, 80% of business professionals believe that email marketing increases customer retention.

78% of marketers have seen an increase in email engagement over the last 12 months, according to Hubspot Marketing.

This is because consumers continue to prefer connecting with brands via email. When you build a relationship directly with the consumer, it’s authentic. They trust in your product and services and that is invaluable to a company.

Further to this, studies conducted by Hubspot show 49.5% of marketers planned on raising their email marketing budget in 2019, so companies who don’t at least match the efforts of their competitors could risk falling behind. FOMO anyone?

“Only the companies and brands that create human connection are going to succeed. This is extremely true with email. You might get short term benefits from very promotional content, but honest, human, and personalised content creates a following for the long term.” – Hubspot
